Some
of us can't wait to get rid of them and some of
us are a bit more philosophical. Whatever your attitude towards
your mortgage we all want to benefit from competitive interest
rates and flexible terms and conditions.
The
borrowing population has become far better educated about
mortgages over the last few years. We have also demonstrated
to the lending institutions that we are very willing to move
our mortgages between lenders if we feel that it is in our
interests. The demand for mortgages is also high while interest
rates are relatively low. All of this has led to mortgage
products being more competitive than they've ever been.
Many
of our clients have benefited significantly by taking advantage
of these factors and re-mortgaging to new deals that offer
discounted, capped or fixed rates. Similarly those who we
have assisted with new mortgages have had access to well reasoned
and well researched mortgage advice. The decision about whether
to take a repayment mortgage or one of the many interest-only
options is not an easy one to take and should be based on
sound advice.
We give
specific advice on all these issues and
subscribe to "Mortgage
Brain" which gives us detailed research that is is
updated daily.
Our
remuneration for the mortgage advice we give is derived
in part from the procuration fees that
we receive from lenders. We normally charge
a fee that is payable by you
which is likely to be in the region of
£250. This
fee is only levied on completion of the mortgage.
